Process Transparency

We believe you deserve to know exactly how our services work, what tools we use, and what you are paying for. Here is the full picture.

Our Transparency Philosophy

Many consulting firms obscure their process behind jargon, NDAs, and vague promises. We take the opposite approach. We believe:

  • You should understand every step of the process before committing a dollar.
  • The tools and methods used to assess your site should be disclosed, not hidden behind a proprietary black box.
  • Data handling should be clear, minimal, and time-bounded.
  • Pricing should reflect the value delivered, and our process should make that value self-evident.
  • Honest limitations are more useful than inflated promises.

How Reviews Work

Every review follows the same basic steps. Automation, diagnostics, and AI-assisted workflow support may be used where they improve speed, consistency, or evidence quality, and findings are reviewed before customer-facing deliverables are issued.

  • You submit a request through the site, selecting the service or package that matches your need.
  • Your public-facing pages are reviewed and diagnostic tools are run against them.
  • Findings are assessed for business impact and prioritized accordingly, rather than dumping raw tool output.
  • A detailed PDF report is prepared with findings, evidence (screenshots and tool references), and a recommended action plan.
  • The report is delivered within the SLA for the service purchased, typically 2 to 5 business days.
  • For modernization engagements, a follow-up conversation scopes the implementation work before anything is committed.

Automation with reviewed output

OverhaulMySite uses automation where it improves evidence gathering, analysis, and draft generation. Final findings are still interpreted, prioritized, and packaged for business decisions instead of being delivered as a raw score dump.

Tools We Use

Reviews are conducted using a combination of industry-standard diagnostic tools, direct inspection, and automation-assisted analysis. The specific tools used depend on the service purchased, but the most common include:

  • Google Lighthouse and PageSpeed Insights for performance, accessibility, SEO, and best-practice checks.
  • WAVE and axe for accessibility compliance against WCAG 2.1 AA standards.
  • SSL Labs and Security Headers for TLS configuration and HTTP security header analysis.
  • Google Search Console and structured data validators for SEO and indexation issues (when access is provided).
  • Cross-device browser inspection for layout, usability, and mobile responsiveness.
  • Built With, Wappalyzer, or similar tools for technology stack identification.

All of these tools analyze publicly accessible information only. No authenticated scans, server-side access, or proprietary scanning engines are involved unless explicitly scoped in a separate engagement.

Data Handling & Retention

We take data minimization seriously. Here is what we collect and how long we keep it:

  • Website URL and publicly accessible page content: used during the review, not stored beyond the engagement.
  • Diagnostic tool output (Lighthouse reports, screenshots): retained for the duration of the engagement plus 90 days for support, then deleted.
  • Email address and contact information: retained to deliver the report and for follow-up. Deleted on request.
  • Payment information: processed by Stripe. We never see or store full card numbers.
  • IP address and basic analytics: collected via privacy-respecting, cookie-less analytics. Not tied to individual identity.

No selling of data

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with any third party for marketing or advertising purposes. Period.

Now That You Know How It Works

The process, tools, and data handling are all published above. If that level of transparency meets your standard, the next step is a diagnostic review of your site. Same structured process, same portal-delivered findings, same published pricing.
